Richie’s artwork is inspired by the things around him; from cars, airplanes, dogs, and cats, to the things he sees in his everyday life. He enjoys coming to the mixed-media class where he creates in a variety of mediums.

 

In the past, Richie has made ceramic bowls, bells, and ornaments, but he has recently started painting, on canvas.

 

Outside of the studio, Richie is part of the  Applied Abilities group of volunteers that goes out every week to Sands Beach in Isla Vista and helps the snowy plover docents at the bird refuge.
